Audiocube's Devices

Audiocube’s stage is populated by seven core device types.

Each device has its own UI panel in the Device Editor window.

Device

Purpose

Quick-Create

Sampler

Plays trimmed or looped audio clips with full pitch / ADSR / FX control.

Shift + Alt + S

Emitter

Spawns physics-driven Nodes that play a sample on collision.

Shift + Alt + E

Ticker

Generates timed “tick” pulses to trigger Samplers, Emitters, or other Tickers.

Shift + Alt + T

Soundwall

Silent wall that occludes or reflects sound for acoustic realism.

Shift + Alt + W

Effect Zone

Spherical multi-FX processor (pitch, filter, reverb, etc.) that colours sources inside its radius.

Shift + Alt + F

Logic Box

Node-based pulse router for generative sequencing (Pulse, Chain, Split, Cycle, Chord, Stopper).

Shift + Alt + B

Ambience (beta)

Plays long-form looping atmospheres with stereo/mono placement.

Creating Devices

There are multiple methods to create devices.

  • Add Menu - Click the "+" icon in the top left corner to open the adder menu. From here you can drag and drop the icons to the scene.

  • Drag Audio to Stage - Drag a file from the Library to auto-spawn a Sampler loaded with that clip.

  • Context Add Menu - Right-click the floor → Add → choose device type.

  • Hotkeys - Use the Shift+Alt hotkeys as outlined above.

  • Cloning - Hold C and left-click-drag any device to duplicate it.

• Click-hold then Spacebar = Tick on/off• Ctrl + click another device = Connect / disconnect

Logic Box

• Double-click = Enter connection mode (click devices to link)• Chain Time / Cycle Time editable in UI

Effect Zone

Drag sphere to move; X-in / X-out fade times in FX Zone panel

Soundwall

Drag X, Y, Z handles to resize; rotate via top gizmo

Ambience

UI Play / Stop / Loop buttons; Stereo-mode gives separate L & R nodes
