Effects Zones

Effect Zones are spatial, multi-effect processors that colour any Sampler or Emitter that enters their radius. Use them to morph timbres on-the-fly, build evolving ambiences and dynamic environments.
Creating an Effect Zone
Action | How |
---|---|
Drag-and-Drop | Grab the Effect Zone icon from the Browser and drop it onto the Stage. |
Shift+Alt+F | Shortcut to create a FXZ at the mouse point. |
Quantity | Create as many zones as you like—each is fully independent. |
Zones appear as translucent spheres. Click-and-drag to reposition; a line is drawn to each device currently being processed.
How It Works
Event | Result |
---|---|
Source enters the sphere | Zone effects fade in according to X-in time. |
Source remains inside | Audio is processed continuously. |
Source exits the sphere | Effects fade out over X-out time; device returns to its original sound. |
Both fade times are set per zone for smooth or abrupt transitions.
